Tov is an album inspired by the ancient times when languages and hearts had not yet met borders. It speaks of the times when love was told and the language changed its dimension towards a more naive one. Tov, nourished by the poetic memory of the past, sometimes tells the reproach of a young man infatuated with the shy look of a beauty, sometimes the advice of an immigrant father to his daughter, and sometimes the test of a religious leader with his ego and faith. Tov, which makes us feel how music permeates our own story, is both a part of a magical tradition and a breath that will never end, just like the knowledge that exists in the memory of a seed.
Designed with traditional and modern instruments, Tov is a work that can be defined in the category of world music on the axis of Progressive Folk.
All arrangements of the album prepared with great love and labour belong to Hakan Gürbüz. Rewşan is accompanied by three musicians who have an important place in world music; Cenk Erdoğan on guitar, Coşkun Karademir on kopuz and Ömer Arslan on drums. İsmail Altunbaş (percussion), Umut Şenyaylar (violin), Hazal Akkerman (cello), Bekir Şahin Baloğlu (oud), Onur Nevşehir (keyboard) and Erdi Arslan (duduk/klarnet) are the other artists accompanying the album. The album was mixed and mastered by Evren Arkman and recorded at Drum And Bass, Mixhane, Studio UnDo and the artist's own home studio.
